「如上所論至支派不定」者，十六大獄增上業招，餘孤地獄隨有情類各別業招，或多有情、或二有情、或一有情於中所止，差別多種處所不定，或近江河等、或在空中、或在海等餘處，諸地獄器安布如是。本處、地下，後時支派流轉不定。

Regarding the passage from "As discussed above" up to "their branches are not fixed": The sixteen great hells are summoned by predominant karma; the remaining isolated hells (*pratyekanaraka*) are summoned by the separate individual karma of different classes of sentient beings, with many sentient beings, two sentient beings, or one sentient being dwelling therein. Their variations are manifold and their locations are not fixed: some are near rivers and streams, some are suspended in the air, and some are in the oceans or other places. The receptacles of the hells are arranged in this way. Their original locations are beneath the earth, but later their branches shift and circulate unfixedly.
