"Is such floral fragrance... or does a separate fragrance arise?": this is a question. Does such floral fragrance rely on the earth element in the broken flower particles themselves, following the wind in a continuity to reach other regions? Because in the realm of desire the eight subtle atoms are not separated from one another, there is the earth element. In terms of the generating causes, the earth element is strong, so it is said to rely on it; it does not mean other great elements are absent. Another explanation: "earth" refers to the broken flowers serving as the support for the fragrance, hence it is called "earth." Another explanation: "earth" refers to the ground; does this mean the flower fragrance relies on this ground to flow in continuity? Or does it merely perfume the wind, so that a separate fragrance arises in the wind and moves to other regions?
