「一字名者如說瞿名」者，此別釋名極少，約字以顯。名有多種，有一字生名、有二字生名、有多字生名。一字生名者，如說瞿名。

"A name of a single phoneme, such as stating the name 'go'": This specifically explains the minimal [measure] of name, revealing it by way of phonemes (akṣara). Names are of many kinds: there are names generated by one phoneme, names generated by two phonemes, and names generated by many phonemes. A name generated by one phoneme is like stating the name 'go' (cow).
