「何緣具受如是三支」者，釋下兩句。三支，謂尸羅支、不放逸支及禁約支。此即問也。

"For what reason are these three limbs completely taken?" explains the lower two lines. The three limbs are the limb of morality (śīlāṅga), the limb of heedfulness (apramādāṅga), and the limb of restriction (niyamāṅga). This is the question.
