「若爾有何至名齋支」者，難。餘師問：齋名本自離非時食。若不以彼離非時食為齋體者，有何別齋體說八名齋支？准舊論文鄔波婆娑，亦翻為齋。故舊論云「若爾，何別法名優波婆娑？」

"If so, what... is called a limb of fasting?" is an objection. Other masters ask: The name fasting originally comes from abstaining from eating at improper times. If you do not take abstaining from eating at improper times as the substance of fasting, what separate substance of fasting is there such that the eight are called limbs of fasting? Following the old treatise text, *upavāsa* was also translated as fasting. Therefore, the old treatise says: "If so, what separate dharma is named *upavāsa*?"
