謂「無經說至捨生言故」者，經部答。謂無經說自稱我是近事等言便發五戒。又此《大名經》不作是說我從今者乃至命終捨生言故。

Namely, "No sūtra states ... words abandoning life" is the Sautrāntika's reply. That is, no sūtra states that by declaring oneself to be an upāsaka, etc., one immediately brings forth the five precepts. Furthermore, this Mahānāma-sūtra does not make the statement, "From this moment until the end of life, I abandon taking life."
