「何緣世尊至易離得不作」者，此即第五明離邪行。問：於八眾中，何緣世尊於餘六眾，或於餘苾芻、勤策、近住律儀處，立離非梵行為所學處，唯於近事一律儀中制欲邪行？理亦應問近事女戒，且以近事為問。或可影顯。或近事言亦攝近事女戒，戒體同故。頌三義答。

Regarding "For what reason did the World-Honoured One [...] being easy to avoid, attaining non-doing": This is the fifth section, clarifying abstaining from sexual misconduct. Question: Among the eight classes [of disciples], for what reason did the World-Honoured One establish abstaining from unchaste conduct as the training rule for the remaining six classes—or for the disciplines of bhikṣus, śrāmaṇeras, and upavāsasthas—while only in the discipline of upāsakas did he prohibit sexual misconduct? Logically, one should also ask about the precepts of upāsikās, but the question is provisionally framed with upāsakas. Or it may implicitly show both; or the word "upāsaka" also subsumes the precepts of upāsikās, because the entity of their precepts is identical. The verse answers with three reasons.
