「頌曰至令離飲酒」者，答。文可知。遮中飲酒，由過重故，近事偏制。餘遮不爾。

[On the phrase,] "The verse says: [...] caused to abstain from drinking liquor": This is the answer. The text is understandable. Among prescriptive offenses, because the fault of drinking liquor is grave, it is specifically prohibited for the upāsaka. Other prescriptive offenses are not like this.
