「又契經說是身惡行故」者，第四是身惡行證。經說飲酒是身惡行。若有無染心，如何名惡行？故知飲酒是性罪攝。故《正理》三十八云「謂契經言身有四惡行，殺生至飲酒。不應遮罪是惡行攝。」

[On the phrase,] "Furthermore, because the sūtra states that it is a bodily misdeed": This is the fourth proof: being a bodily misdeed. The sūtra states that drinking liquor is a bodily misdeed. If it could be done with an undefiled mind, how could it be called a misdeed? Therefore, it is known that drinking liquor is subsumed under natural offenses. Thus Nyāyānusāra 38 states: "That is, the sūtra states that the body has four misdeeds, from killing living beings through drinking liquor. A prescriptive offense should not be subsumed under misdeeds."
