「頌曰至作事壽根斷」者，處中無表由六緣捨：一由受心斷捨、二由勢力斷捨、三由作業斷捨、四由事物斷捨、五由壽命斷捨、六由依根斷捨。前由後斷，通中間六。

"The verse says: ... by the cessation of the undertaking mind, force, actions, objects, life-span, and the controlling faculties.": Intermediate non-informative action is abandoned through six conditions: first, abandonment through the cessation of the undertaking mind; second, abandonment through the cessation of force; third, abandonment through the cessation of actions; fourth, abandonment through the cessation of objects; fifth, abandonment through the cessation of life-span; sixth, abandonment through the cessation of the basis's controlling faculties. The word "through" (由) at the front and "cessation" (斷) at the end apply across the six in between.
