Regarding "Other masters say ... they do not constitute courses of karma": Recounting a divergent opinion. At that time there are also utterances from a defiled mind, but because the offense is slight, they do not constitute courses of karma. Therefore the earlier text said that vocal unwholesome courses of karma do not subsume the preliminary, subsequent, and slight among vocal unwholesome actions; this is this master's opinion. The slight frivolous talk at the time of that cakravartin, although comprehended by others, is not subsumed under courses of karma, nor does it project non-revelation. Therefore the Nyāyānusāra says: "Some say: Their talk of marriage and the like is subsumed under frivolous talk, but not subsumed under courses of karma. Because it belongs to the category of slight defilement, it does not induce non-revelation; without non-revelation, how could it be subsumed under courses of karma?"
