「薄伽梵說至其體云何」者，此下大文第四明三重障。就中，一總明三障、二別明業障。就總明三障中，一出三障體；二約處、趣辨。此即第一出三障體。依經起問。此品廣明諸業，以三障中業義相關，義便通明三障。

"The Bhagavān said: Up to: What is their essential nature?": Hereafter, the fourth major section clarifies the three grave obstacles (āvaraṇa). Within this, there are two: first, generally clarifying the three obstacles; second, separately clarifying the obstacle of karma. Within generally clarifying the three obstacles: first, identifying the essential nature of the three obstacles; second, discerning them in terms of places and destinies. This is the first, identifying the essential nature of the three obstacles. The question is raised relying on a sūtra. This chapter broadly clarifies the various karmas, and because the meaning of karma is relevant among the three obstacles, it opportunely clarifies all three obstacles.
