「雖爾遍行至應亦遍行」者，經部難。雖爾，遍行亦非唯此十一隨眠。以理而言，若於是處有我見行，是處必應起我愛、我慢。若於是處能得清淨，或戒禁取見行，非勝計勝見取見行，是處必應起希求愛、起高舉慢，是即愛、慢亦應遍行。

"Even so, universal [...] should also be universal": The Sautrāntika objects: Even so, universals are not merely these eleven anuśayas. Reasonably speaking, wherever the view of self functions, there must arise love of self and pride of self. Wherever there is that which can attain purity, or the functioning of the view of attachment to rules and rituals, or the functioning of attachment to views that conceives the non-supreme as supreme, there must arise longing love and haughty pride; that being so, love and pride should also be universal.
