「應言修所斷至見力引故」者，經部答。應言修所斷，以雜緣境界故，見斷愛、慢部分別緣。或應見所斷，由見力引故。經部意許愛、慢二種亦是遍行，以能遍緣五部法故。

"One should say abandoned by cultivation [...] because they are induced by the power of views": The Sautrāntika answers: One should say abandoned by cultivation, because their cognitive sphere is a mixed object, whereas love and pride abandoned by seeing take objects differentiated by category. Or they should be abandoned by seeing, because they are induced by the power of views. The Sautrāntika accepts that the two—love and pride—are also universal, because they can take dharmas of the five categories as objects universally.
