「毘婆沙師至不說自成」者，述自宗。毘婆沙師作如是說：此愛、慢二是自相惑，非共相惑，無頓緣力故非遍行，是故遍行唯此十一。餘瞋等惑非是遍行，准此愛、慢不說自成。

"The Vaibhāṣikas [...] is established without being stated": Setting forth their own school. The Vaibhāṣikas state as follows: These two, love and pride, are defilements of particular characteristics, not defilements of common characteristics; they do not have the power to take objects simultaneously, and therefore are not universal. For this reason, universals are only these eleven. The remaining defilements such as hatred are not universal; by analogy to these two, love and pride, this is established without being stated.
