「由是本論至說九十八」者，引本論文總結記說。由離界貪建立遍知，故約界非地立九十八隨眠。故《顯宗》云「約界非地建立隨眠，由離界貪立遍知故。謂四靜慮諸煩惱法性少相似，雖有四地而合說一，於四無色合說亦然，經但說色貪、無色貪等故。」

"Hence the basic treatise... speaks of ninety-eight" cites the text of the basic treatise to conclude and state the summary. Because full knowledge is established through detachment from attachment to realms, ninety-eight anuśayas are established according to realms, not stages. Therefore the Xianzong lun says: "Anuśayas are established according to realms, not stages, because full knowledge is established through detachment from attachment to realms. That is, the afflictive phenomena of the four dhyānas are slightly similar in nature; though there are four stages, they are stated together as one, and the same applies to the four formless [stages] being stated together, because the sūtras only speak of attachment to the form realm, attachment to the formless realm, and so forth."
