20.21

「謂若有人至非此部攝」者，對簡部別。說非盡理，半是半非，更須分別，故名分別說部。梵云毘婆闍縛地，毘婆名分別，縛地名說。舊云毘婆闍婆提者，訛也。若《宗輪論》，飲光部。若業果已熟則無，果未熟則有。彼計同此。

Regarding "That is, if there is a person ... not included in this school": this contrasts and distinguishes the schools. Expounding without exhausting the full principle, half right and half wrong, requiring further distinction, hence they are called the Vibhajyavāda school. In Sanskrit, *Vibhajyavādin*: *vibhajya* means distinction, and *vādin* means speaker. The old translation *pipo zhepotil* was erroneous. In the *Samayabhedoparacanacakra*, the Kāśyapīya school holds: if the karmic fruit has matured, it does not exist; if the fruit has not matured, it exists. Their doctrine is the same as this.
