「彼豈不能取果與果」者，說一切有部答。彼同分眼雖無見色發識之用，彼豈不能起取果用及與果用名現在耶？
Regarding "How could it not be able to grasp a fruit and give a fruit?": the Sarvāstivādin replies: Although that non-functional counterpart eye lacks the activity of seeing visible form and generating consciousness, how could it not be able to perform the activity of grasping a fruit and giving a fruit to be called present?
