「謂根本品至小燈能滅」者，答。失德各九順逆相對，及喻可知。
"Namely, the fundamental grades [...] a small lamp can extinguish [it]" is the answer. The nine grades each of faults and virtues correspond inversely to each other, and the simile can be understood.
