"Having distinguished the faults and virtues [...] those who have not abandoned any at all": below this is the second [section], clarifying them in detail across the stages. Within this: first, clarifying the seven rebirths of the srotaāpanna; second, clarifying the direction and fruit of the sakṛdāgāmin; third, clarifying the direction and fruit of the anāgāmin; fourth, clarifying the direction and fruit of the aśaikṣa. This is clarifying the seven rebirths of the srotaāpanna. Prior to the verse there are four parts: first, concluding the preceding, namely, having distinguished the nine grades of faults and virtues. Second, generally introducing what follows, namely, that next one should establish the distinctions among noble persons based on the paths of cultivating that and of the non-learner. Third, specifically introducing bhāvanā-mārga, namely, that for all learners in the stage of bhāvanā-mārga, they are also generally called śraddhādhimukta and dṛṣṭiprāpta, with many varieties according to their stage. Fourth, specifically introducing the verse text, namely, that first one should establish those who have not abandoned any at all.
