23.87

「若謂有經至密意說故」者，又牒經通難。若謂經說但於苦諦無惑無疑，於佛亦無惑無疑，佛是道諦攝故。既於佛道亦無惑、疑，以此故知頓現觀者此亦非證。於見苦時，於餘三諦亦無疑者，依定不現行、或必定當斷，密意說故。

Regarding "If one claims that a sūtra... because it is spoken with intentional meaning": Here again, the sūtra is cited and the objection resolved. If it is claimed that a sūtra says that if one is merely free of confusion and doubt regarding the truth of suffering, one is also free of confusion and doubt regarding the Buddha—because the Buddha is included within the truth of the path—and since one is also free of confusion and doubt regarding the Buddha's path, one therefore knows that clear realization is sudden: this also constitutes no proof. When seeing suffering, being free of doubt regarding the other three truths as well is spoken with intentional meaning, based either on the fact that [doubt] definitely does not become active, or that it is definitely destined to be abandoned.
