Regarding "The treatise says... because nothing has the capacity to obstruct": In the stage of clear realization, among the sixteen minds, the eight receptivities are unobstructed paths (ānantarya-mārga). "Obstructed" means an interval or barrier; when this unobstructed path realizes the fruit of disjunction (visaṃyoga-phala), the possession of the defilements to be abandoned has no capacity to act as an obstruction to prevent one from realizing the fruit. Although the possession of defilement is concomitant with the unobstructed path, it has no power to draw the possession of defilement into the characteristic of arising; hence nothing can obstruct. Formerly it could draw it forth and act as an obstruction, veiling nirvāṇa so that it could not be realized. Thus Mahāvibhāṣā 90 says: "The unobstructed path is able to abandon defilements, separating the possession of defilement so that it does not continue; it is also able to realize cessation, drawing forth the possession of disjunction so that it directly arises." Nyāyānusāra objects: "If so, the path of liberation (vimukti-mārga) should also be called unobstructed, because in terms of being concomitant with the possession of disjunction, nothing has the capacity to obstruct either." The master of the Kośa rescues it: "This unobstructed path is concomitant with the possession of defilement, yet the possession of defilement has no power to act as an obstruction to prevent one from realizing the fruit; therefore it is called unobstructed. Although that path of liberation is concomitant with that possession of disjunction and is named 'realizing the fruit', it is not concomitant with the possession of defilement, so one cannot say that the possession of defilement can obstruct it. Because it cannot obstruct, the objection is not parallel."
