"Although these names are seven... should be contemplated in accordance with the principle" explains the lower two lines. Among the seven, the bodily witness (kāyasākṣin) is subsumed within two among the six: resolved by faith (śraddhādhimukta) and attained through vision (dṛṣṭiprāpta); it has a name but no separate reality. Among the seven, liberation through wisdom and liberation both ways both extend to being subsumed within the timely and non-timely among the six. Completely bound is one; abandoning defilements of the eight stages [with nine grades each] makes eight times nine, seventy-two; altogether making seventy-three. "Desire gods" refers to the six heavens of the desire realm. "Followers by dharma, etc." includes the remaining four persons. The rest of the text is clear.
