25.83

「謂涅槃路至涅槃果故」者，答。謂涅槃路，三乘聖眾乘此能往涅槃城故，故名為道。或復道者是求所依，依此尋求涅槃果故，故名為道。

Regarding "It refers to the road to nirvāṇa [...] because it is the fruit of nirvāṇa": this is the answer. It means the road to nirvāṇa, because the noble assemblies of the three vehicles, riding on this, can proceed to the city of nirvāṇa; therefore it is called a path. Alternatively, the path is that upon which seeking relies, because relying on this one seeks the fruit of nirvāṇa; therefore it is called a path.
