「解脫勝進如何名道」者，問。加行、無間趣求涅槃可名為道；解脫、勝進既非趣求，如何名道？
Regarding "How are [the paths of] liberation and excellence called paths?": this is a question. The preparatory and uninterrupted [paths] aim toward and seek nirvāṇa, and so can be called paths; but since liberation and excellence do not aim and seek, how can they be called paths?
