「次辨餘位至皆如理應思」者，此即第四約餘位辨修。初頌約練根明修，第二頌約雜、通明修，後頌約聖凡明修。

"Next, distinguishing the remaining states ... all should be considered according to reason": this is the fourth [part], distinguishing cultivation with reference to the remaining states. The first verse explains cultivation with reference to sharpening the faculties (indriya-saṃskāra); the second verse explains cultivation with reference to mixed [cultivation] and the supernatural knowledges (abhijñā); the final verse explains cultivation with reference to noble ones and ordinary persons.
