「近分有幾至初亦聖或三」者，此即第八明近分差別，一問近分有幾、二問何受相應、三問於味等三為皆具不。頌答可知。

Regarding 'How many threshold states are there ... the first also has the noble, or three': this is the eighth [section], explaining the distinctions among the threshold states: first, asking how many threshold states there are; second, asking which feeling they are associated with; third, asking whether they all possess the three such as attachment. The verse answers, as is understandable.
