「由彼亦能邪審慮故」者，答。由彼染定發得邪慧能邪審慮，亦名靜慮。

As for "Because they also are capable of corrupt investigation": this is the answer. Because that defiled concentration gives rise to corrupt discernment (ku-prajñā) that is capable of corrupt investigation, it is also called dhyāna.
