"Because the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, is stated to exist in the three times": the author of the treatise replies. Because the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, is stated to exist in the three times, we clearly know that knowing all phenomena is stated in terms of continuity, not that a self knows everything. They posit that the World-Honoured One has the self as his substance, which is subsumed under the fifth, ineffable repository of dharmas, not under the repository of dharmas of the three times. Thus the author of the treatise replies: the Buddha, the World-Honoured One, is stated to be within the repository of dharmas of the three times, knowing everything in terms of the continuity of cognition, not by a self knowing everything.
