「前來分別至當住幾時」者，此下當品大文第二明正法住世時。標前說意以為二問。若序、正、流通三分，依前一解。從此已下至〈破我品〉末，一部之中大文第三名流通分。又依前一解，從此已下至〈定品〉末，就前八品之中大文第三名流通分。

"Having distinguished above [...] for how long will it remain?": Below this is the second major section of the present chapter, clarifying the duration of the true Dharma's dwelling in the world. It marks the intention of the preceding explanation to formulate two questions. If structured according to the threefold division of opening, main body, and dissemination, according to one previous explanation, from this point downward to the end of the Pudgala-pratiṣedha is the third major division of the entire work, called the dissemination section. Again, according to another previous explanation, from this point downward to the end of the Samādhi-nirdeśa is the third major division of the first eight chapters, called the dissemination section.
