「若在三界至如理應知」者，此約三界善心命終捨根多少。無色三根加至八根，乃至欲界漸終至九。中間多少如理應知者，謂色八加至十三，欲十加至十五，九加至十四，八加至十三也。

"If in the three realms ... should be understood accordingly": this concerns how many faculties are abandoned when dying with a virtuous mind in the three realms. In the formless realm, three faculties increase up to eight faculties, and down to the desire realm, dying gradually increases up to nine. How many there are in between should be understood accordingly: that is, in the form realm, eight increases up to thirteen; in the desire realm, ten increases up to fifteen, nine increases up to fourteen, and eight increases up to thirteen.
