「我復云何至已遮遣故」者，論主上來破我是作者，今破我是受者，我復云何能領業果得受者名？汝若謂於果我能了別。破云：何此定不然？我於了別都無有用，指同前破。

Regarding "How again could the self … because it has already been precluded?": the author of the treatise has previously refuted that the self is an agent; now he refutes that the self is an experiencer: how again could the self apprehend the fruit of karma and obtain the name of 'experiencer'? If you claim that with respect to the fruit the self can cognize it, [we] refute this: how could this possibly be correct? The self has no function whatsoever with respect to cognition, which points to the same refutation as before.
