「今應詰問至死後亦有」者，論主反詰。今應詰問犢子部師計有我者，佛何緣記有現在我，不記如來死後亦有我耶？

Regarding 'Now one should cross-examine [the Vātsīputrīya masters ...] also exists after death': the author of the treatise cross-examines. Now one should cross-examine the Vātsīputrīya masters who assert the existence of a self: For what reason did the Buddha declare that a present self exists, but did not declare that a self also exists after the Tathāgata's death?
