"Who says there are none... because it is abandoned through cultivation": the author of the treatise resolves the objection. Who says there are no spontaneously born sentient beings? As the Buddha said: "I declare that spontaneously born intermediate beings exist." That is, the continuity of the skandhas capable of going to the next world without relying on a womb, an egg, or moisture is called a spontaneously born sentient being. Denying the existence of this intermediate state is subsumed under wrong view. Because the spontaneously born five skandhas are real in principle, he conveniently interrogates them further: Furthermore, if you hold that this wrong view slanders the pudgala, by what is it abandoned? Is it abandoned through seeing or through cultivation? Neither is logically admissible: since the real self you grasp is not subsumed under the four noble truths, it cannot be abandoned through seeing the truths. Furthermore, it should not be said that this wrong view is abandoned through cultivation.
