Regarding "The varieties of mental classes... can be easily comprehended": the author of the treatise shows humility, deferring to the World-Honoured One. Based on this meaning, there is a verse in the Sautrāntika school: In a single eye of a peacock's feather, with its blue, yellow, red, white, and so on, there are causal aspects of all kinds. Such and such a result arises from such and such a cause. Knowing these aspects is not within the scope of any other cognition; only the Omniscient One knows it. This adduces the easy to illustrate the difficult. If the causes of the differences in color in a single eye of a peacock's feather are still difficult to comprehend, how could the distinctions among causes and conditions of minds and mental factors, which are completely formless dharmas, be easily comprehended?
