「云何此二一心相應」者，論主難。尋麁、伺細，性相違故，云何此二一心相應？經部不許尋、伺二法一心相應，論主意朋經部，故為此難。

Regarding "How can these two be associated with one and the same mind?": The author of the śāstra objects: vitarka is gross and vicāra is subtle, and their natures are mutually contradictory; how can these two be associated with one and the same mind? The Sautrāntikas do not accept that the two dharmas vitarka and vicāra are associated with one and the same mind; the author of the śāstra leans toward the Sautrāntikas, and therefore raises this objection.
