「如是已說至名義差別」者，此下大文第四明眾名別。如是已說諸心、心所五地法等品類不同，三性心品俱生定量，四對心所異相差別。「然心、心所」下，問起。言「名想」者，或從果為名、或從因立稱，故言名想。

"Thus have been explained ... the distinctions of names and meanings": From here on is the fourth major division, which clarifies the different names. Thus have been explained the various minds and mental factors, their different classes such as the factors of the five stages, the fixed measures of what co-arises in mental states of the three natures, and the distinctions among the differing characteristics of the four pairs of mental factors. From "However, mind and mental factors" onward, an inquiry is raised. The expression "names and notions" refers to designating them either by their effects or by their causes; hence the expression "names and notions."
