「既爾此壽至相續轉故」者，說一切有部釋。為難所逼，今復轉救。既爾，此壽應業能持，從業所引，或長或短相續轉故。論主意朋經部，故今轉計前後相違。又解：說一切有部復為好解，顯前非正。

On [the text reading]: "Since it is so, this lifespan ... because it operates in continuity": The Sarvāstivāda explains. Being pressed by the objection, they now shift to a new defense: Since it is so, karma should be able to sustain this lifespan, because it is drawn by karma and operates in continuity, whether long or short. The author of the treatise inclines toward the Sautrāntika, and therefore this shifted assertion is mutually contradictory before and after. Another explanation: The Sarvāstivāda gives an even better explanation, showing that the former was not correct.
