5.39

「謂求解脫至修無想定」者，答。修無想人為求解脫涅槃，彼執無想異熟是真解脫涅槃，為求證彼修無想定作出離道。

"Seeking liberation... one cultivates the non-conceptual concentration," answers the text. One who cultivates the non-conceptual [concentration] does so seeking liberation and nirvāṇa; grasping the non-conceptual vipāka as true liberation and nirvāṇa, they cultivate the non-conceptual concentration to make it the path of departure (niḥsaraṇa) in order to realize it.
