「依未斷因至故廢不說」者，通因有二種：一未斷因、二已斷因。彼論依修所斷未斷因密作是說，非是盡理之言。見所斷法雖亦是此染污為因，而由已斷故廢不說。

Regarding "Relying on the unabandoned cause... therefore it is set aside and not mentioned": resolving this, there are two kinds of cause: first, unabandoned causes; second, already-abandoned causes. That treatise speaks implicitly relying on the unabandoned causes to be abandoned by cultivation; it is not an exhaustive, definitive statement. Although what is abandoned by seeing is also a cause for this defilement, because it has already been abandoned, it is set aside and not mentioned.
