「離簡擇力至即擇滅攝」者，經部破。彼非擇滅，離簡擇力此苦果滅不成。由簡擇力令隨眠不生，隨眠不生後苦不起，因亡果喪皆由慧力，故此苦果不生即擇滅攝。

On "Apart from the power of deliberation [up to] is subsumed under pratisaṃkhyā-nirodha": the Sautrāntika refutes this. That apratisaṃkhyā-nirodha of theirs—apart from the power of deliberation, this cessation of the fruit of suffering would not be established. It is through the power of deliberation that the anuśayas are made not to arise; when the anuśayas do not arise, subsequent suffering does not arise. Cause perish and fruit pass away all through the power of discernment (prajñā); therefore, this non-arising of the fruit of suffering is subsumed under pratisaṃkhyā-nirodha.
