「應知彼文至色等六境」者，此即通難。言因決定，據能作等四因，非同類、遍行。言果決定，據增上等三果，非等流果。

"One should know that that text... the six objects such as visible form": this resolves the objection. When it speaks of the determination of the cause, it is based on the four causes such as the efficient cause, not the cause of the same type or the omnipresent cause. When it speaks of the determination of the effect, it is based on the three effects such as the predominant effect (adhipati-phala), not the uniform effect (niṣyanda-phala).
