「廣說因已緣復云何」者，此下大文第二辨緣。就中，一總明四緣義、二別解等無間。就初門中，一明四緣體、二明緣作用、三明法緣生。此下明四緣體，結前問起。

"Having broadly explained causes, what are conditions (pratyaya)?": from here downward is the second major section, analyzing conditions. Within this: 1. generally clarifying the meaning of the four conditions; 2. specifically explaining the immediately antecedent [condition] (samanantara-pratyaya). Within the first section: 1. clarifying the real entities of the four conditions; 2. clarifying the functional operation of conditions; 3. clarifying the conditional arising of dharmas. From here downward clarifies the real entities of the four conditions, summing up the preceding and raising the question.
