8.27

「是則還同心相續難」者，論主難殺，指同前破。若言由定勝故二強相依，是則還同前心相續難也。應言：若爾，於彼同分、命根相續轉者，但依勝定，何用相依？

"Then this returns to the same objection concerning the continuity of mind" is the fatal objection by the author of the treatise, referring back to the previous refutation. If you say that because the absorption is superior the two are strong and rely on one another, then this returns to the previous objection concerning the continuity of mind. One should say: If so, as for the continuity and operation of generic similarity and the life faculty there, they should just rely on the superior absorption; what use is relying mutually on one another?
