9.36

「有說轉受至後四同類」者，此家意說：若緣不定，轉受相似類身。如家牛，欲增屬夏、狗屬秋、熊屬冬、馬屬春。若野牛、野干、羆、驢，欲增無定。前四中有若不遇時，如次轉生後四同類。此非正義。

[On the passage] 'Some say that it changes its birth... the latter four belong to the same species': this school's intention is to say: if conditions are not fixed, it changes to take a body of a similar species. For instance, in domestic cattle, lust increases in summer; in dogs, in autumn; in bears, in winter; in horses, in spring. For wild oxen, jackals, brown bears, and donkeys, the increase of lust is not fixed. If the intermediate existences of the former four do not meet the season, they sequentially change their birth to the latter four of similar species. This is not the correct view.
