「如是蘊相續至中八據圓滿」者，此下第八明十二緣起。就中，一廣明十二、二略攝喻顯。就廣明中，一總辨、二別明。就總辨中，一總判支位、二別顯體性、三明本說意、四以略攝廣、五遣通疑難、六會釋經文。此即第一總判支位。牒前標宗。

"Such is the continuum of aggregates […] the middle eight are based on completeness": below this, the eighth section clarifies the twelve links of dependent origination. Within this: first, extensively clarifying the twelve; second, summarily subsuming them with an analogy. Within the extensive clarification: first, a general analysis; second, specific explanation. Within the general analysis: first, generally determining the stages of the links; second, specifically revealing their intrinsic nature; third, explaining the original intent of the teaching; fourth, subsuming the extensive into the summary; fifth, resolving and removing doubts and difficulties; sixth, reconciling and explaining the scriptural texts. This is the first, generally determining the stages of the links. It cites the preceding text to state the main thesis.
