Regarding 'Lacking sound but having faculties [...] because their locations are distinct': this explains the lower two lines. If, internally, there is no sound but there are faculties, among the aggregations of atoms, an aggregation possessing the body faculty has nine entities arising together: the eight entities as before, with the body faculty being the ninth in external places lacking sound. Aggregations possessing the other eye, ear, nose, and tongue faculties have ten entities arising together: the nine entities as before with the body faculty present, plus one—the eye faculty or the like. The eye, ear, nose, and tongue are necessarily not separated from the body, because they function relying on the body, showing that the body is definitely present. Because the four faculties such as the eye and the others have mutually distinct locations, it shows that they do not belong to the same aggregation.
