論「香有四種至有差別故」，第二《婆沙》說四香也。《五事論》云「諸悅意者說名好香，不悅意者說名惡香。」《正理論》云「增益、損減，依身別故。有說：微弱、增盛異故。」述曰：增益、增盛為平等香，損減、微弱為不等香。

[Regarding the] treatise's [statement]: "Odor has four kinds […] due to distinction": the second [part] gives the four odors spoken of in the *Vibhāṣā*. The *Pañcavastuka* says: "Those that are pleasant are called good odors; those that are unpleasant are called bad odors." The *Nyāyānusāra* says: "Benefiting and harming depend on the distinction of the body. Some say: it is due to the difference between weak and intense." Comment: Benefiting and intense are balanced odors; harming and weak are unbalanced odors.
