論「此中已說至諸識亦爾」，第六明生識總別也。文中有四：一結前述正義、二述《婆沙》異說、三問答分別、四生識前後。此即初也。「已說多種色處」者，五根、五境十處不同，名為多種。五識取境皆通總別，是《婆沙》一百二十七評家正義。

The commentary states: "Herein it has already been explained... the various consciousnesses are also like this." The sixth [section] clarifies the apprehension of objects by the consciousnesses in a general or specific manner. In the text there are four parts: first, concluding the preceding and setting forth the correct thesis; second, setting forth divergent views from the Vibhāṣā; third, differentiation through questions and answers; fourth, the sequence of the arising of the consciousnesses. This is the first. "It has already been explained that the manifold sensory spheres of form..." refers to the ten sensory spheres differing between five faculties and five objects, which are called 'manifold'. The five consciousnesses taking their objects can all be either general or specific; this is the correct thesis of the Vibhāṣā's arbiter in scroll 127.
