論「又諸色中至在彼差別」，第二釋色處勝故，立通名也。由有對故及有見故，具此二義名之為勝。「手等觸時即便變壞」，釋有對也。「可示在此在彼差別」，釋有見也。自餘九處唯是有對、不是有見，非是勝故，不得通名。

On the Śāstra's statement, "Furthermore, among all rūpas ... distinctions of being here and there": this is the second [point], explaining that because the rūpāyatana is preeminent, it is established with the common name. Being endowed with obstruction (*sapratigha*) and endowed with visibility (*sanidarśana*), possessing these two characteristics it is called preeminent. "When touched by a hand or the like, it is immediately transformed and damaged" explains "endowed with obstruction." "It can be indicated with distinctions of being here and there" explains "endowed with visibility." The remaining nine āyatanas are only endowed with obstruction and not endowed with visibility; not being preeminent, they do not receive the common name.
